This is an English class in the Police Science major using the Book ” Norton”. Please choose a topic in the field of Police as a topic, your choice. 1.) Need to find a commentary or editorial piece which also must be included because I have to submit this to the instructor and it has to be written within the last 5 years. This will be the starting point of the essay; you will be arguing against the author. You can totally disagree with the author or partially disagree with them, but you must be challenging them in some way. Must use evidence (as outlined in the Norton ) to make your case against the author. 2.) Please copy and paste the original article at the start of the paper so the instructor can read it. Make sure to clearly mark off where the source essay ends and your work begins. 3.) Must use at least one source but no more than three. In other words, the paper must have at least one source in addition to the original editorial you are using. 4.) Use at least SIX different evidence types to win your argument. These will be drawn from this units Norton reading, “Argueing”. Use footnotes or comment bubbles to indicate when a type of evidence has been used for the first time ( in other words, only mark a type of evidence once, even if you use it more than once. This means you should have six or more footnotes or comment bubbles in your essay). The essay should be around 1000-1250 words and use multiple kinds of evidence . Has to be in MLA format.
