Community College Students and Academic Success
PROMPT: Write an argumentative essay which argues for specific solutions that community
college students and/or community colleges should enact to help students achieve academic
success.
Requirements:
The essay must include an introduction with a thesis, body paragraphs that support and develop
the thesis, and a conclusion.
Body paragraphs must have clear topic sentences and follow PIE organization.
Body paragraphs must include clear signal phrases with appropriate quotes and correct citations
(both in-text and a Works Cited page).
This essay must be four full pages with one line onto the top of the fifth page. The maximum
page length is five full pages. The Works Cited page does not count towards the page length.
