Compare and contrast written language use between common slang (as evidenced in texting, informal papers, emails, etc) and the formal
language expected in college writing assignments.
What do these two language types share, and what differences can you find between the two?
Consider the languages’ purpose, use in different situations, impact on others, comfort for writer and reader, etc.
After reading resources related to the problem, carefully consider the topic and writing requirements. Proceed through the writing process (prewriting, outlining/organizing, drafting, revising/editing/proofreading, submit final draft)
