two paragraphs), the significance of the book (does it fill a void, what is the author(s) trying
to accomplish, do they succeed, is it biased, is it practical [i.e., does it have application in the
real world of leadership], etc.); Your evaluation of the book: Is it well written? Clear?
Understandable? Etc. additionally, you should note how the work reflects your knowledge
and experience (or lack thereof) with the topic. If you choose a leadership book that is not CJ
based, make sure you apply the concepts therein to criminal justice.
