I would like my classmates and teammates that I value relationships and always love to establish new and long-standing relationships. I am sure; this institution with students from countries across the world is going to give me a rich experience in building many cross-cultural relationships. I believe this would significantly widen my understanding about other cultures, and understanding many new things by appreciating the habits and skills of my fellow students. In fact, I owe my growth this far to my previous friendships while studying and working. I do look forward to sharpen my listening and empathizing skills toward equipping myself to deeply understand my new friends from overseas, and learning from them. My degree in Marketing Management and work experience as a Relationship Officer in BDO Unibank had taught me certain network building skills, which I would love to share with everyone here.
I am a highly motivated individual, and I believe hard work has no substitute; I would continuously strive to succeed by passionately putting my heart into the tasks I perform. I am coming from a family who value education very much. I was brought up with the thinking that we should always do more than what is expected from us. With these, I was able to secure a GPA of 2.9 out of 4.0 in my Marketing Management degree from De La Salle University, Manila and was a four-time recipient of the Dean’s Honor. Also, the fact that I fell within the top 25 % Marketing Management Graduates and 30% among the College of Business graduates affirms my hard work and determination to succeed. I began my career at BDO Unibank under Institutional Banking Group without any prior banking experience. My hard work and dedication prompted the management to promote me twice in my 2 years of stay with the Bank. From a trainee position in January 2013, I was promoted to Relationship Officer – Junior Assistant Manager 3 in March 2014 and was recently promoted in March 2015 to Relationship Officer – Assistant Manager.
My foremost goal in life is to strive for continuous excellence in all that I do. I enjoy new challenges and believe they are what help mould and shape a person into who they are meant to be. It is through hard work and perseverance that success can be achieved. This is my personal motto that motivates me to aim for success and has been a marker for past success throughout my life. Because of this, I consider myself to be an exceptional candidate for acceptance into the (Name of program) at (Name of university). The same principles and ethics I apply to every aspect of my life, I will utilize to excel within this academic program.
